Gili T is actually in Lombok. You can do a day trip to Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan. I would do 3 nights somewhere and 4 nights somewhere else to really have a good amount of time at each spot. There is so much to do in Bali without going to Gili T however if it’s a must I’d spent 3 nights there. jakesbootycall1 • 10 hr. ago.
Gamat Bay – Nusa Penida. Known as Crystal Bay’s little cousin, Gamat is a wilder, more inaccessible version. This secluded, slightly untouched beach itself is usually quite quiet although the snorkelling area attracts more visitors, as it’s usually part of the standard snorkelling tours offered in the area.
Hey everyone! I am heading to Bali end of May for 3 weeks and was originally going to stay on Lembongan for 2 nights and Penida for 2/3 nights but someone said it makes more sense to just choose one and do day trips SO I was hoping someone would have advice on whether that’s correct and whether or not it’s best to base myself on Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan.
Nusa Penida and Lombok are completely different. Nusa Penida is a small barren island with a few thousand people. It follows the Hindu religion. The people speak an old form of Balinese. Lombok is a large island with 3.2 m people. They follow Islam and speak the Sasak language. Report inappropriate content. Georgia R.
Both Nusa Penida and the Gili Islands boast stunning coastlines, but each offers a unique beach experience. Nusa Penida’s beaches are renowned for their dramatic landscapes. One of the most famous is Kelingking Beach, with a coastline resembling a T-rex head, it’s a sight to behold.
The history of Nusa Penida island in Bali can be traced back to the 10th century. The earliest writings on Nusa Penida have indeed been found on the Belanjong Pillar, which dates back to 914 AD . The inscriptions mention a military expedition by Sri Kesari Warmadewa, the first King of Bali, against Nusa Penida.
